Scuba Diving Areas
- Housereef Na’ama Bay: One of the few dive spots that you can enjoy with hiring a boat of car, this location offers day and night diving year-round.
- Thistlegorm: A well frequented location for divers who relish the exploration of sunken shipwrecks.
- Ras Narani: The northern most location that is perfect for beginner local dives.
- Ras Cathy: The local dive location at the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula.
- Straits of Tiran: Home of the four most famous coral reefs of the area; Jackson, Gordon, Thomas and Woodhouse.
- Ras Mohammed: The most unique marine life and coral reefs are found here at the southern most part of the Sinai Peninsula.
Scuba Diving Instruction
- Discover SCUBA Diving: Beginner instructions are given in a pool to ensure safety and mastery of the basic skills required for scuba diving.
- PADI Scuba Diver: This two day certification course will allow you to dive to a depth of 12 metres accompanied by a Dive Master.
- PADI Open Water Diver Course: The next level of certification after PADI Scuba Diver that qualifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
- PADI Referral Course: Every level of PADI Scuba Diving instruction contains knowledge requirements. The Referral Course allows you to complete the testing of these requirements at home.
- PADI Advanced Open Water Course: This two day course increases your knowledge and includes underwater navigation and deep diver techniques.
Independent Diving and Snorkeling Trips
Certified divers are able to join the daily dive teams from the local dive centres such as Sinai Divers located in Na’ama Bay. Individuals who have not been scuba diving in 12 months or more are required to do a check dive where an instructor will guide you through the assembly of your equipment and the basic skills you must demonstrate. If it has been 2 years since your last dive, you will be required to take a half-day Refresher Course.
